Inga Berggren Ovesson lives with her husband, Ingvar, in Blomstermåla in Sweden. The village is situated in Mönsterås municipality, in Kalmar county.
About three years ago, she experienced her heart rate suddenly increasing significantly.
-One autumn day in 2012 I woke up and was getting out of bed. I felt my heart beating very fast. It was very exhausting, and we called the doctor. I was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the hospital. The pulse showed over 150 beats per minute. I was not afraid, because I was saved and knew that if I died, then I would go home to Jesus, but it was an unpleasant experience. At the hospital, they confirmed atrial fibrillation, but the heart calmed down eventually.
Some time later, she unfortunately stumbled and injured her hip. At the hospital she had to have surgery, and Inga had the hip capsule replaced. In the time after the operation the heart problems increased.
-I was in and out of the hospital several times, but no one could help. I also had lung problems, so it was additionally bad. All in all I was sent to the hospital by ambulance ten times, because the pulse was so high. Twice I got so-called electric shock treatments, but after some time the flickering returned. The heart would beat at a varying pace. Sometimes the pulse showed 150, while other times it could be down to 130 beats. My normal pulse was supposed to be 63. I was so sick that I thought I was going to die. It was flickering day and night. I was given medication, but they did not help much, and the heart rate increased constantly. It was a strenous time.
Warmth in the head
On Saturday January 24 this year Inga watched the TV program "The Miracle is Yours" on Vision Norway. It was a re-run from the week before and was cast Saturday night. Svein-Magne taught about healing, and towards the end of the program he prayed for the sick.
-I thought I'd put my hand on the television and join in the prayer. I had faith that something would happen, because I had heard and read about many others who had experienced healing.
When Pedersen prayed on TV, Inga did not notice anything in particular. But the day after something special happened. She was in the kitchen when she suddenly felt a warmth that flowed into her head.
-For a few seconds my head was burning on the inside, at the same time it felt as if a thousand ants were crawling inside my head. I had never experienced such a thing before, but I was not afraid, for it was a lovely feeling.
Inga called on her husband who asked her to sit down in the living room. She then felt that the heart had calmed down, and she got an inner peace. It was a happy day. They stood up and began to praise Jesus before they called some friends and told them what had happened.
-It was amazing, and my heart beat so "underbart" (wonderfully) quiet, she says in her native Swedish.
Surprised the doctor
Some time after that wonderful experience Inga was going to see the cardiologist. She had been given an EKG machine that she was going to use for 24 hours before the check-up to regulate the heart rhythm. It hung around her neck and measured the rhythm. When Inga came to the doctor, she checked the results. The doctor was shocked and could hardly believe what she saw.
-But what has happened here? The heart is the absolutely fine, the doctor said surprised.
-I told her what had happened, and that I believed in Jesus and that I had received prayer from Svein-Magne Pedersen. The doctor did not know about him. She sat still for a long time and did not know what to say. She repeated that she did not understand any of this.
-You must write that Jesus has performed a miracle, Inga's husband Ingvar said.
In the time following Ingas heart has been just fine. Now she walks like a "princess", she says. The couple now has plans to start house meetings again, as they had before Ingas health became so bad.
-It is a great miracle that has taken place. We thank Jesus for he is so good, says Inga and Ingvar happilly.
