JHM’s Work in India – A Success!

India, the world’s most populous country with 1.4 billion people, is also the largest mission field globally. JHM’s skilled partners in India are achieving remarkable results. Here’s a brief overview:
Evangelist Timothi
In the state of Andhra Pradesh, evangelist Timothi tirelessly shares the Gospel. I connected with him in 2014 through Facebook. Using his “Tuk-Tuk,” he travels from village to village, spreading the Gospel. My salvation tract, “5 Minutes to Heaven,” has been translated into Telugu, one of India’s languages. Thanks to support from partners in Norway, it is continually reprinted. Timothi also oversees dubbing our programs into other Indian languages.
Timothi is passionate about building wells for the poorest of the poor—the Dalits. So far, he has helped inaugurate 10 out of the 22 wells constructed. Many villages are on a waiting list, requesting clean water from Timothi and the JHM team in Norway. Along with the water, they also receive the Gospel. Over 100,000 Indians have gained access to clean water in their communities—thanks to JHM’s supporters. Thousands have also heard the Gospel through Timothi’s preaching, and many have come to faith. This is evangelism through well construction.
Bible Teacher Dibya
This highly educated pastor, who holds a master’s degree, is passionate about building a Bible school. On November 30 last year, JHM’s foundation, Passport to Heaven Institute, was officially approved by Indian authorities. This enabled the establishment of a Bible institute in the heart of Hindu-dominated India, where 82% of the population are Hindus, 1% are Sikhs, 1% are Buddhists, 14% are Muslims, and 2–3% are Christians. This in itself is a miracle.
Pastor Dibya is supported by his brother and brother-in-law, both board members of the foundation. His brother holds a master’s degree, and his brother-in-law has a doctorate in theology from an American university. The latter is also the principal of a Bible school in South India with approximately 40 students.
The Passport to Heaven Institute has achieved unprecedented success in India:
- 1,606 Bible school students
- 2,367 churches, pastors, and evangelists under the umbrella of Jesus Heals Ministries
In total, 3,973 preachers and students are connected to the foundation. Additionally, 2,367 churches in India operate under JHM’s umbrella.
These preachers and students are spread across seven Indian states. Teaching takes place in seven regions, where instructors gather students for lessons. Some also use online teaching. The Bible school program lasts three years, with exams each year, culminating in a diploma with grades in various theological subjects.
Pastor Dibya and other Bible teachers regularly travel to rural areas to teach and oversee the extensive work of the foundation.
Pastor Alphonse
Farther south in Andhra Pradesh, Pastor Alphonse leads a ministry in his district. In 2015, he established a small Bible school to address the shortage of preachers in the region. The school accommodates about 40 students.
Alphonse also helps the poor in his community by providing food and clothing. He travels to remote mountain villages, reaching unreached people groups with the Gospel.

Through Alphonse, the 22nd well was constructed in Lydham Village. Alphonse oversees 236 pastors and evangelists and approximately 80 congregations. JHM has a strong partnership with this dedicated pastor.
Through the combined efforts of these dedicated individuals, JHM continues to impact thousands of lives in India—spiritually and physically.
